Jamaica Violence Kingston 26 Killed Jamaica Capital - Oneindia News: "26 civilians were killed in Jamaica, when police stormed a drug gangster's mainstay and the outrage spread to the outlying areas. The incident happened at Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. The deceased include three members of the security forces, after the clashes began over the weekend. Another 25 have been injured and around 200, arrested. The violence started when the military and police officials tried to arrest Christopher Dudus Coke, the drug kingpin suspect who is wanted in US for criminal charges. Christopher is suspected to be hiding in the Tivoli Gardens neighbourhood of Kingston, where the clashes occured. The violence broke out on Sunday, after Jamaican PM Bruce Golding declared to banish Coke to United States. Heavy clouds of smoke rose from the area as several explosions were heard near the quarter in the Capital, said the media reports. Police stations were blasted and police officials were injured in parts of West Kingston, on Sunday, May 23. Prime Minister has declared a month-long emergency in parts of the capital and outlying St Andrew"

Month-long investigation leads to a major drug bust in the Town of Southport.Police seized 500 grams of cocaine, estimated to value about $40,000.Elmira Police arrested 21-year old Brittany Nelson of Southport, 22-year old Michael Harper, 28-year old Jamal Brock, and 26-year old Robert Christian all of Elmira.Harper and Nelson were arraigned and sent to the Chemung County Jail without bail. Brock and Christian are in the Elmira City Lock Up waiting to be arraigned.
