CBC News - Toronto - Pearson baggage handlers arrested: "RCMP says it has broken up a large drug smuggling operation at Toronto's Pearson Airport.
Five baggage handlers at the airport have been arrested, along with a number of others, including a police officer in Jamaica.
The investigation, which according to the Mounties began in February 2010, included the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Jamaican Constabulary Force.
According to a news release, police believe the illegal drugs 'flowed in and out of the airport on chartered airlines.'
Police said the illegal drugs included ecstasy, hashish and khat.
'The police are further alleging that this group used their employment as baggage handlers at the airport to facilitate the movement of these drugs,' the statement said.
