Aussie police make 31 drug-related arrests: "Australian police say they have arrested some of the country's key drug barons and dismantled six major syndicates after a series of raids across two states.
New South Wales Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said Wednesday that 31 people have been arrested and police seized about 9 million Australian dollars ($8.8 million) worth of drugs, including cocaine, LSD, and cannabis.
Scipione told reporters among those in custody are 'a number of major players in the Australian drugs trade.'
More than 500 police officers raided 37 premises across Sydney and other areas early Wednesday."
